I'm reading T. Boone Pickens' book "The First Billion Is The Hardest" and have learned quite a bit about the U.S. dependency on oil as well as a lot about natural gas and other energy sources. Pickens' Plan says that in 2008 alone, the U.S. spent $475 on foreign oil! Imagine the difference in our economy had that money stayed here! In the last 40 years, our dependency on foreign oil has increased by 200%
